Recruitment ecosystem

Naval recruitment, verified at every step

A twelve-stage candidate journey that turns applications into evidence a government can rely on — while final recruitment, enlistment and appointment decisions remain entirely with the relevant government.

01 — Candidate journey

Twelve stages from application to service

Each stage has a named owner. Stages owned by the government are decisions; stages owned by the platform are evidence.
  1. Candidate

    Application

The candidate applies voluntarily, with clear information about the programme, the receiving country’s service terms and the fact that no recruitment fee is ever payable.

  2. Platform

    Eligibility verification

Age, education, nationality and other criteria are checked against the eligibility rules set by the receiving government’s law.

  3. Platform

    Identity & citizenship verification

Identity documents and citizenship status are verified against issuing sources, not accepted on sight.

  4. Platform

    Education & maritime-skills verification

Qualifications, certificates of competency and sea-service records are confirmed with the institutions that issued them.

  5. Authorised bodies

    Medical & fitness assessment

Examinations are conducted by approved medical practitioners to the receiving navy’s published standards.

  6. Authorised bodies

    Background / security screening

Screening is carried out by, or on behalf of, the authorities empowered to conduct it, under applicable law.

  7. Government

    Government approval

The receiving government decides whether a candidate is accepted. NavyExporter provides the evidence file; it does not make or influence the decision.

  8. Authorised institution

    Naval / maritime training

Training is delivered by institutions the government has authorised, including any operational training.

  9. Authorised institution

    Certification

Competence is certified by the bodies entitled to certify it, including STCW certification where applicable.

  10. Government

    Lawful appointment / enlistment

Appointment or enlistment takes place under national law, through the navy’s own procedures and oath or engagement.

  11. Government

    Active navy / reserve

Service, command, discipline and deployment are exclusively matters for the national navy and its law.

  12. Joint

    Continuous professional development

Recertification, upskilling and career progression are tracked so that experience keeps building value.

02 — Candidate rights

Commitments to every candidate

Fair recruitment is not a marketing claim; it is the difference between lawful service and exploitation. These commitments apply to every programme, in every country.

No recruitment fees
Candidates never pay to apply, to be screened or to be placed — consistent with the ILO fair-recruitment principles.
Informed, voluntary choice
Terms of service, obligations and the legal framework are explained in writing, in a language the candidate understands, before any commitment.
Adults only
Programmes are designed for candidates aged 18 or over.
Documents stay with the candidate
Passports and identity documents are never retained.
Right to withdraw
Candidates may withdraw from the process at any point before lawful appointment or enlistment.
Access to grievance channels
Confidential channels to raise concerns, independent of the recruitment team.
Control of personal data
Data is collected for defined purposes only, shared on a need-to-know basis and protected under applicable data-protection law.

03 — Boundaries

What NavyExporter never does

  • Recruit for private military or security companies, armed groups or individuals
  • Enlist, appoint, command or deploy any person
  • Recruit where national law provides no lawful pathway
  • Charge candidates recruitment or placement fees
  • Retain identity documents or restrict a candidate’s movement
  • Publish candidate, medical or security-screening information

04 — Questions

Recruitment questions

Does NavyExporter enlist or appoint anyone?

No. Only the relevant sovereign government and its authorised naval institutions can approve, appoint or enlist personnel. NavyExporter administers verification, screening coordination and records to support that government decision.

Who can apply?

Eligibility is set by the receiving country’s law and published by the programme. Many navies restrict service to their own citizens; programmes can only exist where national law provides a lawful route.

Are candidates charged any fees?

No. NavyExporter does not charge candidates recruitment or placement fees of any kind.

Does the platform provide combat or weapons training?

No. Any operational military training is provided exclusively by institutions authorised by the government concerned. NavyExporter coordinates maritime and professional training and tracks certification.

What happens to my personal data?

It is collected only for the programme you apply to, access is role-based and logged, and it is retained and deleted in line with applicable data-protection law. Sensitive information is never published.
